Rack Tin Plating

Tin is a most useful metal with properties that make it useful in a wide variety of applications. The most notable of these are in the food and electrical/electronics industries, although applications in other basic metal manufacturing industries abound.

National Plating offers bright acid tin plating in its 13 station,  hoist assisted, manual rack tin line. We most commonly plate parts made from copper and its alloys, with minor applications involving various grades of alloyed steel and even lead. We have racks to accommodate parts with quite complex shapes, and have a practical 30" limit to the length of buss bars we can plate.

The relatively small size of our line makes it an ideal production cell. The line is run by an experienced electroplater who personally handles and inspects each rack of parts throughout the plating cycle.  Any problem found (however infrequent) is corrected immediately and any deficiencies in plated parts are made right before normal production continues.

This cellular nature of our barrel tin line offers great advantages in schedule control as well. If one of your jobs becomes “hot” we can move it up in priority and into production almost instantly. “Same day” service is a part of our everyday life. And we do not charge for this service.

We can certify barrel tin plated parts to MIL-T-10727, ASTM B545, or your company specification, We also can certify that our tin plating is RoHS compliant.
